| Book Overview
Why I wrote this book.
The premature death of my dad, brother and mom to lifestyle related diseases, showed me first hand, that our quality of life resides in our hands, not our genes. But how do you get stronger-- mentally, physically, and financially, instead of weaker with each birthday?Too many of us are living below our potential.
I ‘m not the same person, or the same body at age 50+ that I was at 30. I needed ONE book to help me simplify & solve the puzzle of how to not only live longer, but better. One that would provide the freedom I wanted to enjoy my family for the rest of my life, instead of burdening them with the cost and pain of taking care of me for the rest of their life. I found recipe books, fitness books and financial and psychological books full of complicated formulas. But I couldn’t find a practical all in one guide to accomplish this, so I spent several years to create it.
This book is about giving you all the keys you need to living life on your terms, instead of by chance. It is designed to help you discover your missing link between what you want from life and how to get it. It’s a catalyst for change--a tool for you to learn about yourself and push to a new level of satisfaction in your life. It is about personal and professional growth.
The Baby Boomer Almanac is not about living the perfect life. It’s about recognizing and dealing with the fact that we all fall, but we can also get back up again. It’s not a cocktail table book, or something to add to your collection of shelved literature. This is an interactive, life-changing guide and reference book that will inspire, educate, reassure and hopefully become part of you—over and over again. It will not collect dust amongst the other must-have reads that come and go like passing fads.
Anyone can “wish” things would be better. Baby Boomers are “doers”. That is our legacy. That is our future. And that is why I wrote this book… too many of us are living below our potential. There is no need to become a lesser version of yourself just because you’ve had another birthday. Together, we can do what needs to be done for you to thrive instead of merely survive the rest of your life!
